Thread: Shaving Soap Dish on Deutsche Optik

I don't think anyone would accuse the Deutsche Optik site of having inexpensive items, but every now and then they end up with some interesting items for sale. I was at the site looking for some bit and pieces for a military costume and noticed the 'blades and shaving' section of the site. One of the first items I noticed was a ceramic shaving soap dish.

It's not really a scuttle since it isn't made to hold water. Instead, it holds a puck of soap and has a brush rest, allowing the user to face lather. Not really something I want or need, but I figured others may like the design.

If you watch their site, now and then they have straights at reasonable prices. The last time I saw them they were French made. Probably military surplus and the prices weren't bad.
