    Default Merry go round stand.

After looking through my wife's scrapbooking gear, I noticed she had a rubber stamp holder. This holder looked like it could serve double duty as a shaving brush stand. After some quick tests and an Amazon order later...

The nice thing about this setup is that I can add a second level to it for more brushes! The extension kit is about 9.00 and the stamp holder itself goes between 12-15.00. I don't have an safety razors (yet) but I think they will fit in the small triangles by the main shaft.

I like it , but for one concern; how are the "metal" holders as far as possibly scratching the brush handles. The metal coming in contact with my horn & wood handles , makes me cringe.

If there is a nice way to wrap the holders, I might jump on one of these.

Nice but I'd go with Hirlau, don't make it scratch the handles up, glue some leather on or self adhering filt or whatever.

I was planning on gluing some felt to the inside of the metal holders. Right now my brushes are not being damaged by the holders, but if and when I get more exotic material, I will definitely glue on the felt.

Great idea! I use some actual broom and mop spring clamps for mine. I found some felt dots with adhesive backs at the hardware. Two dots on either side of the clamps work fine to avoid metal contact.

That is a favorite of mine too. Get some Shrink Sleeves from Radio shack and slip it over the clips and shrink it to them.

No more scratching of brushes or other things clipped.
There is a soft urethane tool dip also that could work as a protector.
    Good eye my friend!

Yes, Richard! Heat shrink would be the answer! Probably best for this application !
