    Default Grandpa's mug

Got my Grandpa's shaving mug and brush yesterday! Probably won't use the brush but the mug cleaned up great and is ready to go with some of my Cella. Is there any way to date the old Spice mugs?Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1379258169.163131.jpg

No it didn't have a lid. Nothing wrong with the brush. Just when I received it there were a lot of hair strands in the soap. I don't want it to fall a part. I probably just display it as is to preserve it.

I had a mug like that in the 1960s, but their style hadn't changed much for years, so it's hard for me to date yours. It makes me wish I hadn't thrown out mine in part of my, "don't need this stuff anymore" stage.

ive read that the lids of granule gravy tubs fit the mugs and it would keep from the smell of your soap spoiling

I wish I had my grandpa's Old Spice mug... I searched high and low at my mom's house to see if she had saved it after he passed, but alas, she did not.

I bought one from the bay just to remind me of him, though, since I know he shaved with a straight early on in life. I dearly miss that man... he was the one person in the entire world I knew would have my back no matter what. My only regret is that he was unable to meet his great grandson, as the two of them can only be described as kindred spirits.

I'd hold onto both the brush and mug no matter what if I were you, and maybe even consider have the knot replaced in the brush.

    Incredibly awesome, man!!

Yes I was very lucky to get it and now I'll think of him whenever I shave. Priceless to me!
