Hi all, I just placed an order for my first Scuttle and was wondering what you guys thought. Think I seen a review on this and liked it.

As long as the interior is large enough to accommodate your brush and the quantity of water is enough to keep it warm.
It looks nice.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I think these were the ones razorfeld was telling me about, there that should get him here to comment. My bowls were 2 piece, but mainly because I bought them from a crockery shop but it worked well.

Yes, Ed, I'm here now. I looked at the scuttle in question and wholeheartedly agree it is a good choice. Since I already have a Georgetown 20, a shaving mug made for me by my Granddaughter, a bowl with an inward leaning rim from Goodwill for $2, and several other odd items to experiment with for building a good lather I have, this time, successfully fought my Scuttle Addiction Disorder to a standstill. If I had seen the Portuguese scuttle before the Georgetown that would have been the one I bought. And it is a very, very, reasonable price. Buy it and have fun lathering up a white blizzard.

The scuttle looks terrific but from seeing ceramics from Portugal in other contexts: in a cookware shop, and having a couple of pieces, they did not have a very durable glazes. They might have changed completely with this application, but in general, the glazes I have on the Portuguese ceramics are fragile. I hope I wrong about this scuttle.
