    Default New Razor Stand

So I had been wanting a good stand to display my razors on and hold my brush as well and after much searching I just decided to build my own! I had a old scrap of maple from a drawer that I used for the base and holder and I purchased a 3/8"" walnut dowel for the vertical supports. Finished with 4 coats of spar varnish/turpentine mix. All in all I think it turned out pretty good and total out of pocket cost was less than $5 hope you guys like it!

Now all I need is a couple more razors to fill those empty holes....

That's a great piece of work there. I need one with about 200 spots in it :<0)

Very nice...incorporates all my favorite elements. Simple beauty of woodwork, practical, and inexpensive (as long as one doesn't make too many extra holes that need to be filled)!

Thanks guys! I got the idea from some stands on etsy and just modified it a little.

200 holes may be a little to large for my skills though , 10Pups .

I've just recently gotten into woodworking and it truly is a great hobby

Looks great! Not one for exposed razors, but I really like this design. Being a DE an straight user this works great for a steady rotation. Did you hand sand the edges of the holes? They appear tapered but all so uniform didn't know if it was hand done or router? Either way I like this an may steal this design.

I drilled them out with a hole cutter then used a router to round all the edges, then hand sanded to get some burn marks out. I don't like exposed razors all that much either but they are my daily shavers(only shavers haha) so they get used and inspected regularly
