Hey guys… here's a little something I made recently… a leather case for 2 straights. Figured out itwould come in quite handy and 2 are definitely better than one. I used thick leather (a bit less than 2 mm), undyed in order to avoid scales staining, I desiced do put a 2mm buffalo horn plate in the middle section wall in order to prevent bending and eg tang damage …

After I thought of the concept I'd follow I cut all the pieces in measures, from lefr: front cover, horn plate, 2 middle section parts, the back piece, with the cover

Middle section with the horn plate sewn in in order to fix it in place,.. mind thatthe sews are in the direction of the razors being put in (did it differntly at first but the razor kept catching the sews…)

After 8 hours of work (worked till 6am ) I finished the case,.. I additionally dampened it a little in order to ge the form I wanted (in order to avoind too much of case wall pressure on the razors, plus making kind of a hard shell, protecting the razors..

Quite big problem was making the holes in the leather, since it was pretty thick, and there were 5 layers of leather at the thickest part… let's say it was kind of a challenge (that ended up without any holes in my hands )
