Default Custom built shaving equipment rack

Hello Gentlemen. I just wanted to share a recent purchase of mine. A rack for my shaving accoutrements custom built and co-designed with Bruce from Straight Razor Place.

He does excellent quality work and his prices are more than fair. He can build virtually any kind of configuration you can think of. I purposefully wanted my Merkur Progress laying flat so that the design on the bottom of the head is visible also. Thanks for looking.

If any of you are interested in getting a rack built by him. Look him up as DoughBoy68 over here at SRP.

Gorgeous! What is the brush on the lower shelf second from left?

    That is simply beautiful.

I wanted something like that some while back but could find no one local to fabricate one (a cabinetmaker I am not). So, necessity being the mother of invention, I found these at IKEA. Some stain and spray paint later...

Thank you! One of my first brushes from a few years ago. It is a custom handle made by Rudy Vey from a resin impregnated Amboyna Burl wood in the shape of a Simpsons M7 handle but slightly longer. The knot is a WSP Superfine 2 band in a 26mm size with a 52mm loft. It's a wonderful brush with soft tips and lots of backbone. Scratches my 2 band itch just fine. Of course I am in the process of getting a Thater 2 band soon though....

Very nice. What wood did he use for the build?
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

I whole heartedly endorse doughboy if you need a rack. He made a 14 day straight razor rack for me and I couldn't be more pleased.
