Thanked: 0Storing shaving equipment, kids in the house
Just ordered my first Safety Razor and misc items.
What are people using to store the razor, blades and used blades.
Have kids in the house.
Not seeing much on storage boxes.
What about the brush? Just leave this in the bowl to dry?
Anything else I need to do?

First, Welcome to SRP.
When you say safety razor, are you talking about a Double Edge or Shavette style blade. Some DE blade packs have a spot on the underside to insert used blades. Other options are to buy a blade bank or a sharps container. You can find them at pharmacies I believe.
You can buy a simple brush/razor stand from most wet shaving vendors. This allows the water to drip out of the brush, instead of being trapped in the brush.

Thanked: 1184In the old days medicine cabinets had slots in them. The blades would fall inside the wall.

Well the razor and brush could get stored on a razorstand, or just on a shelf. I probably wouldn't leave the brush in your bowl, it needs to be allowed to dry out.
Blades come individually wrapped so you can just re wrap them and throw them away, or get a jar and cut a cross or slot into the top, if you do the cross you can push the flaps in a bit which should make it harder to shake old blades out, not that a simple slot would be terribly easy.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

I shaved with a DE when my kids were young, the razor and blades were left on a high shelf in the bathroom. The used blades were slotted into the rear of the blade pack.
If I had children around now that I use straight razors, I would stop at nothing short of a locked cabinet.

High up and out of sight. When that is not enough you need them to understand they are not to touch your shaving products.

I think if you have small kids you must have a lock-box.
