Is georgetown the only place that makes a scuttle with the plug?

No. Etsy has a few as does eBay.

Don't know if they are the only ones but I have a scuttle without a plug. I sometimes warm the water in the microwave. To ensure I don't spill it walking to the bathroom or when using it I stick a rag in the hole. While it's a minor feature I like having the hole plugged up. The ridges in the Georgetown scuttles might be nice. Mine doesn't have them either. Still, I'm happy with mine. I'd like to have the plug and ridges but my rag will work for now. Santa time is coming. Maybe a hint or two to wife???

    PS
Another feature I'd like is if the lather bowl would have a lip inside to drag the brush across keeping the lather in the bowl.

Seems to be a film forming inside my reservoir. Does anyone ever clean inside there? If so, how? Thanks.
