Thread: I know what this is but need help with what it 'could' be.. Thinking outside the box!

Im not saying it is old or its not old because I don't have it in hand but what makes you think its not old? What does the back side look like. It looks like cast iron. If thats the case and it were me, I would clean the rust off and then season it like an old cast iron pan where it gets that shiny black gloss all over and won't rust. It definitely looks cool. If you plan on using it in the shave den then a strop hanger it would make. That would definitely be cool in a barbershop though. Maybe now you can open one up haha.
