    Default Straight Razor Storage

I am now finding that as my collection starts to grow, that using the individual cases/coffin boxes that each razor comes with is a bit cumbersome and the small table where I keep them is becoming a bit of a mess. I have looked around quite a bit at the various display cases and roll-ups out there.

From a form and function perspective, what are you folks using that seems to be the best compromise? I am at 5 razors now with one more in the mail. I am thinking a 7 day setup that I can add things to/pull from as my rotation changes. Obviously my first priority is one in which the razors and their scales will be safe and store well (not prone to rust or some conflict of materials that results in damage). I am also not concerned with travel for this case, as I have a few leather one-razor travel cases that came with my various blades to suffice.

Thanks in advance for the thoughts and advise!

Quite a few people here are graduated to the wooden machinist toolboxes. I don't have any of the brand names or pictures off hand but I am sure some will be able to provide that.

I use a cigar humidor absolutely dried and keep the razor in sack ups. Cost around $25 for the humidor and I modified my own sack up I bought for $8. Holds 20 razors

A local Harbor Freight or Craig's list may be the answer for the machinists' drawer type chest.
It will also hold a lot of stuff, like soaps,in the 'till' on top.

    PS.
Cigar boxes do a nice job of holding a few razors. You should be able to find really nice ones at smoke shops in your area.

I have a Gerstner wood box I bought many years ago. I also have some small wood boxes made by an outfit called burlwoodboxes.com (or similar).

I use the 48 pencil size case and it holds 12 razors from 5/8 to 7/8 perfectly. Got mine on Amazon as well if I rember right.
