SWEET! Really well-done! You can make a box and upholster it? Cool! Those skills are something I have yet to accomplish.
It looks factory-made to my eye and good, functional hardware. The razors are also very nice. Good work!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 1184You got the box making thing dialed in now. Excellent craftsmanship. Did the razors honor.

Thanked: 4827At Christmas my mother in-law showed me how to line boxes. I have been making boxes for a long time. The leather on the outside I just applied similar principles that are used for the fabric. I have seven more boxes made that are waiting for the inside and outside finish. I work in a remote location and need little project for the evenings. Right now it's boxes, and when I go back to work the evenings for those 21 days will be finishing those boxes.

I feel so ashamed after reading this and seeing the boxes that look so well with the razors. If I had a mother-in-law perhaps she could show me how to darn a sock....I don't think I have enough time to learn mortis and tenon or dovetail joints. Fine work on the boxes, thanks for posting.

Absolutely a beautiful box and razors. This is presentation quality. Do you shave with these or it a display piece? This is such a nice set I wouldn't want to touch it....But then I'd have to.

Thanked: 4827At this point only one of them is shave ready. It is in good shape the other three are not quite NOS but close, perhaps we could say very good, or near mint. I do shave with the one periodically, I also have two 17's that are Friodurs that I shave with as well.
