    Default Maggards shave bowl

I got one of the new Maggards Fine Lather bowls and have really been enjoying it lately! Lather seems to form quicker and more consistently. I like the wider surface and lower rim to whip up a nice lather w/o hitting the sides of my other taller, narrower bowl. The ribs do seem to work well! The handle/brush holder works well, too. Just wish I got the blue one; the black was OOS when I got mine and the only other color was the red one. Definitely getting a blue one with my next order; always good to have a spare!

My bowls are from Salvation Army thrift store at 25 cents each! Might check Maggards.

Fine Lather Bowl – Red & White | Maggard Razors - Straight Razor Restoration, Custom Scales and Wet Shaving Products

I have a deeper, narrower bowl from before and I always hit the side of the bowl with my fingers or the brush handle when whipping up the lather, so the shorter and wider bowl seems to work much better for me. Lathering seems to go much quicker with the new bowl as well.

It's a stoneware type bowl, so I guess ceramic pottery?

If you are ordering the bowl you might pick up some Fine Aftershave samples as well. They are nice fragrances with a great cooling effect.

I've had the black and grey one for about a week now. I like it very much. Appropriately sized, makes good lather and the like the little brush rest solves a problem for me.

The StaticHole technology is a real breakthrough, too. Don't know what I ever did without it!!
