I have one which I received as a lovely and thoughtful gift and I like it. Large enough to be comfortably held in my hand, the texture seems to help the mounting of lather. It is a good bowl.

This. I am low-rent by nature, rough on fragile things and space-limited at the sink. As I emptied out a cup of AoS shaving cream recently I noticed the plastic container had double walls, curved bottom and straight sides. A little sandpaper roughening and JB Weld patterning on the bottom made me an excellent, quiet, unbreakable lathering bowl - very nice for liquified and squeeze-tube soaps and creams. I suppose a more talented person might sand the exterior and custom paint it with poly-acrylics. Thank for this same advice at an earlier time.

I just ordered a G12 factory second from Georgetown pottery. Saved over $20. Don't have it yet so can't say how imperfect it is or isn't yet, but for $30 for a scuttle same inside lather dementions as a G20 I'll take it.

Nice! I bought a scuttle from Doug Smith Pottery in Asheville, NC. He is great and has deals on slight imperfection units as well where it is hard to find what is wrong other than he points it out to you so you know.

I love his stuff and he has everything on hand and does not make it as you order it.

Give him a look to and see if he may have something that tickles your fancy as well.............
