    Default Differences between shaving mugs

Are mugs for creams supposed to have different dimensions then mugs for soaps? I ask because i have one but it's to tall to use with cream(my fingers hit the edges). It's about 8 cm(3.14 inches) in height.

I do not there is any written standard for shapes and sizes of mugs, cups, scuttles, etc in terms of proper for a soap or a cream. Many shavers use big coffee/soup mug, some search out vintage mugs (like the Old Spice mugs) in which to build a lather. It really is a matter of what works for you.

I use a small glass bowl that I applied a grid on the bottom and vertical lines up the sides with a silicone sealer. I use an uberlather concoction that add to each day.

If you are going to bowl lather creams, try a bowl about 4-5 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Any old bowl will do.

The only reason I could see a soap mug's dimensions being precise is so the soap fits perfectly in the bottom of the mug. Other than that, Cream should work in anything that will hold it.

How long the brush handle is can make a big difference as far as banging your fingers on the bowl goes when you bowl lather. Stubby handles usually work better for face lathering. How long is your brush handle?
