Thanked: 0Differences between shaving mugs
Are mugs for creams supposed to have different dimensions then mugs for soaps? I ask because i have one but it's to tall to use with cream(my fingers hit the edges). It's about 8 cm(3.14 inches) in height.

I do not there is any written standard for shapes and sizes of mugs, cups, scuttles, etc in terms of proper for a soap or a cream. Many shavers use big coffee/soup mug, some search out vintage mugs (like the Old Spice mugs) in which to build a lather. It really is a matter of what works for you.
I use a small glass bowl that I applied a grid on the bottom and vertical lines up the sides with a silicone sealer. I use an uberlather concoction that add to each day."The sharpening stones from time to time provide officers with gasoline."

Thanked: 3228If you are going to bowl lather creams, try a bowl about 4-5 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Any old bowl will do.

Thanked: 220The only reason I could see a soap mug's dimensions being precise is so the soap fits perfectly in the bottom of the mug. Other than that, Cream should work in anything that will hold it.

Thanked: 3228How long the brush handle is can make a big difference as far as banging your fingers on the bowl goes when you bowl lather. Stubby handles usually work better for face lathering. How long is your brush handle?
