    Default "Dottie" shaving bowl

    Hello everyone!

A while back I asked about shave bowls and which I should get ....

Well the Dottie shaving bowl is what I eventually decided on and so I am here to leave a quick review of it.

I have to say that this bowl is beautiful and very well made. The bowl is made by symmetrical pottery out of Florida.

Ok so I ordered this on Monday ( at the end of the day ... Some were around 8pm ) and received it with the mail (around 11am) on Thursday. The box it came in was very well padded and there was little to no chance of the bowl breaking on the way. There was also a very nice little hand written thank you note in with the bowl.

    Alright down to it.

I had to play with it when I got it.... I used it on every soap I own to see how well it works....and I took a few pictures while I did it.

Ok so first I'll tell how I make a lather ...
Wet the brush with warm watter ...
Shake out about half of the watter
Swirl brush on soap for about 5-7 seconds
Put a small amount of warm watter in bottom of bowl
Swirl till I make enough lather to shave with
    Then apply to face.....

The first soap I used was maggards Orange menthol (my current most used soap)

Picture was of about 10 seconds of whipping

My next soap was some cheap Van Der Hagen

Picture was after about 25 seconds of whipping

And the last soap I tried was my first soap I ever had Bald Frog ... This is a decent soap if you want something really cheap ...but can be hard to make a lather with .. normally it takes me about a good 2 minutes to get a full bowl of lather with this soap.

This was after about 60 seconds of whipping

And to finish this off some pictures of the bowl

I love this bowl ... Really happy I decided to buy it.

@mglindo thanks I forgot to mention .... I purchased this through etsy not there website....it was already made and ready to ship.

Beautiful and ergonomic. I'm currently waiting on a scuttle from Narragansett pottery. So I'll have something to review too.
