Thanked: 3795Good for her! Since these things are used in a sink, they need to be easily filled at a sink. Preferably, it should be easy to do without a teapot!
The only scuttle I have, or need, is the Georgetown G20 which is easy to fill. If she does a google image search for scuttles, she should be able to get a better sense of what works and what does not.

I had a scuttle for over a year, only used it occasionally - the last year, alway use the scuttle, current way to fly for me. One of the things I've come to learn that works for me, is not to get the water too hot. If the water is very hot, I find it breaks down the lather, so nice and warm is a good place to land for me - try different temps and figure out where you get the heat you want without breaking down the lather.

I have seen those scuttles on etsy. Really nice looking.
I have a Georgetown Pottery G12. It is fantastic, and I can see myself using it throughout the year, warm weather or cold.
Congrats on your acquisition!Mike

Nice looking scuttle! I started using one (from Dirty Bird pottery) about a year ago and love it. Use it every day.
