I have a steady supply of Hoppes No.9 Gun Oil.
Seems like there wouldn't be any harm in using it for long term razor storage.
Any opinions on this?

I have a very small bottle of RemOil I keep next to my microfiber cloth for razors going away for a few weeks ,, but I als o use tiff glide wipes to Tc
I use Ballistol, it's been in use in Europe for about 100 years. It's my understanding that most of the hunting lodges over there smell like it! I like the smell and it rinses off very easily. I've sent razors back to the above (tcrideshd) with it on his very nice blades. :tu
If it is Hoppes oil I'd say it should be fine. If it is Hoppes Nitro Solvent I'd look elsewhere. I love the smell of HNS, but I was taught to clean that off the firearm & oil it afterwards. Might be too much of a good thing.
My favorite is R.I.G. (rust inhibiting grease) put out by Birchwood Casey nowadays.
