    Try air dry as others have stated it should work!

    Sorry forgot to update. Scrubbed it down with thayers and rinsed well. Rinsing better after use now too seems to be fine. Also using it less as alum block sorts all but the worst weepers and feels nicer for some reason. Cheers for all the helpful suggestions.
