Anyone use or have one of these guys. Browsing online for shaving supplies and fell upon this site. https://www.englishpewter.co.uk/products/WW904
Debating going for one. I like the metal part since no breaking.

WOW! Wish I had the funds. I'd snap one up in a blink of an eye. Soft spot for pewter.

    Silly you its English!

You brew your breakfast tea in the bottom and keep your soap warm also.

When you are done shaving your teas is ready!

The way those are made demonstrates that the brush is laid on the top with the holes allowing excess water to drain into the vessel. A lot of guys, myself included, thought/think that the top is to hold a puck of soap. I did that for a long time with a ceramic shaving cup, but that is not the intended use. The puck sits in it's own bowl and the gizmo in the photos holds the brush.

    OTOH .......... there is this ....... http://howtogrowamoustache.com/how-t...aving-scuttle/

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Yes, I used one of these, once, and it melted my puck of Col Conk...thought I was crazy for a minute until I realized the entire puck had melted into the reservoir and all I was left with was some green lime slime on the top....

If you put boiling water into a pewter container the whole thing is gonna get hot, really hot. I notice they sell some with stag handles too.

Now that would add an interesting dimension to the shave, melt your puck of soap, burn your hand, and then follow it up with a post to the Cut and Scald of the Day Thread.....
