Default Bowl for Provence Sante shaving soap

    Dear SRP members:

Does anyone know where I can find a bowl with lid that exactly fits a Provence Sante shaving soap puck? I am referring to the diameter of the bowl, and not to its height.

The dimensions of the puck are: diameter 69.50 mm (2.74 in), height 33.87 mm (1.34 in).

    /Greetings

just get one slightly larger or smaller and modify with a grater, if too small then shrink it down, if too larger grate some from the base and use it to pack the edges
Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Most pucks are close to the same size just put it in a bowl, as Ed said a grater will make it fit just about any bowl. Tc

West Coast Shaving sells a small wooden bowl that would be a good fit. However, I like to load my brush from a wide-mouthed container, and therefore grate pucks of that small size.

Yes, it looks like I might need to use a grater.

I don't know if you are located in the Midwest, though the brand of bowl I have is likely available at retailers other than Meijer (where I got mine).

    Brand: Libbey.
Area in the store located: usually Housewares, in the same isle as other glass bowls/bottles/dishes for the kitchen.

    Price: $1.29 + tax.

That should be pretty close to the dimensions you are looking for. And the price is hard to beat!

    I hope this helps!

Thank you for your time and the information; that bowl would work, and the price is right too. Unfortunately there are not Meijers where I live; I am located in the northeast. I will drive to Walmart and see if they have that brand and size of bowl. Thanks again!

To paraphrase their website: "Product availability & price may vary from location to location..."

I know that some of the wally-worlds near me have an Anchor Hocking sugar bowl with glass lid for a few bucks more. But, it is slightly smaller than the one I posted. They may or may not have Libbey stuff as well.

P.S. The flash from my phone's camera washed out the pic, making it hard to see, but maybe the website has a product locator? retaillibbey.com
