Unhappy In Need Of A New Mug.

Well, it finally happened. My shaving mug slipped off of the side of the sink and broke. I was going to order a beautiful Bulldog through SRD until I saw that the shipping to Canada was more than the mug. $25.00 for the mug, $33.00 to mail it. What a disappointment, I just can't justify that. It's too bad postage is so outrageous right now. I usually shop at SRD as they offer great items & even better service, but I'll have to wait. I couldn't find nothing I liked at Fendrihan, (the only Canadian site I've ordered from), but please chime in with any other suggestions for decent mugs at Canadian sites, it would be much appreciated!
Anyway, here's what's left of the mug:

    Sorry to hear this.
Have you ever considered having a mug "custom made" for you?
I bet somewhere in your community, there is a person skilled in pottery/ceramics.

Have you looked at Classic Edge or Moss Scuttles?
I really like my vintage Old Spice mugs and they aren't too hard to find.

That's a good idea, unfortunately I don't know anybody who makes pottery. I'll keep a lookout though.

Thanks for the input, I've always wanted one of them Old Spice mugs. Do they have swirls or something in the bottom?

They have four or five slightly raised fins to keep a soap puck in place. I load my brush in the mug and then face lather.

Thanks, I just looked into this. I see a lot on E-Bay, and they're fairly cheap. Some even have free shipping.

Sorry about your mug. First thing I thought of when I saw the thread title was a sign in the driver's license bureau in Kearny NJ .......'If you want a better picture, get a better face.' (mug reminded me y'know)

Try Etsy - there are Canadian pottery shops on there.

Try Classicedge, Italianbarber and Fendrihans. They all have shaving mugs. They may have what you are looking for and ship from this side of the border. I am sure there are others too.
