Thread: Razor storage box

Is that wood or some kind of foam separating the razors from each other?

It is a 40lb. Foam board. I am thinking of putting a moisture absorbent fabric on it. Thoughts?

My first thought is to get some desiccant packs from somewhere and hide them in the box. Possibly hollow out a couple spots in the dividers.

They come in various sizes, so picking the right size and quantity will help with hiding options. How often to change them, I have no idea...

I'm greatly hesitant about an absorbent fabric. You wouldn't want the fabric to hold the moisture then increase the humidity in the box as it is closed.

Thanks for the tip. I have some desiccant packs. Hollowing out the holders is a great idea.

I'm a newbie, however you probably noticed in some restaurants they put rice in the salt shaker to prevent the salt from clogging up the shaker, I've taken a a gallon ziplock bag and 1/2 cup of rice and store my knife inside the bag. Similar should work for your box (excluding the ziplock bag. My two cents.

I use a humidor with a desecant pack and it works great.

Be sure to let your razor air dry for several hours before returning it to your very nice box. Good job
