    I wipe the lather off on my forearm.
    When the shave is done I rinse the Razor user a scalding hot tap ,then light hand stropping followed by a quick wipe with the shave towel & finally finish with wiping blade & scales with toilet tissue.
    So far my blades are thriving with this regime.

    One micro-fiber towel in my little bathroom exclusively for drying my razor after I'm done.

    I use a golf towel to dry the blade once I've finished shaving.

    The advantage of the golf towel is that it's relatively small and has an eyelet in the corner which means it can be hung from the same hook I use for a strop.
