    Default Looking at scuttles

I checked out georgetown and the ridges inside dont look like much. Then dirty bird and i see 3 different sizes. On estesy i see lots of places that make them for around 50 bucks.
What scuttle maker did you buy from and what would you change or buy from next?

Thinking insides need to be 4x2. Whats your opinion on size?
BTW, im not looking for something to hold soap puck. Just lather in. Wanting to try this warm lather as im finding myself bowl lathering lately.

Years ago I bought a scuttle to try out making warm lather. From that experience 4 inches wide and 2 inches deep seems fine and the ridges do not have to be very high either. A large water reservoir is always helpful in keeping that lather warm. While mine worked just fine it now collects dust.

I went with a Dirtybird 1.5 with internal grooves. I would not change a thing, I love it.

Im liking the idea of the vertical lines inside. Just seems that when building lather I go round and round on the area where the bottom meets the sides. So vertical lines in that area seems like the way to go. I have a bowl with round ridges/circles on the bottom and it dont work to well if you just go in circles.

I did look at the dirty bird 1.5 it looked plenty big. But the capacity of 30oz of water seemed a bit much. Guess it would stay hot longer. Id offer to buy yours bob but we would have that same issue. Shipping country to country.

SRD has some too but no vertical ridges. Great price though.

Jerry, I like my SRD scuttle. Yes it doesn't have ridges, but is a quality product. And in my opinion, does it's job just fine

I'm currently using a Georgetown . It's 4x2 reservoir is about the right size for me. As you can see the ridges on the side are smaller than the ones on the bottom but aides in making quicker lather ( depending on the soap & brush I'm using ). However, my SRD scuttle makes warmer lather (due to more water volume ) but doesn't have ridges, therefore, doesn't make lather as well. ( or may just be me )

    Dang photo is sideways !
