    Default Meriden Silver plated Scuttle

Picked up this amazing scuttle of an auction site in South Africa, old American company I believe, found info on the history of the company but not any other shaving scuttles. Lovely to use, keeps the foam warm through out the shaveName: IMG-20180307-WA0000.jpg

Very nice! Indeed, Meridian Conn 1869-1938.
Bet it is toward the older date.
    Looks in good nick!

    Enjoy!

Very nice! Bet it had a matching brush at one time, too bad it didn't come with that.

    Very nice...!!
Looks like you and I, have the only silver scuttles on this forum. Too bad you don't have the matching brush.

    Here's a pic of mine.

I got real lucky with mine. Found it in a antiques shop, but couldn't afford it at the time. So I hid it in the display, and was able to retrieve it at a later time, like almost a year later.!!! Some folks are just too lazy to bend over and look.

To be honest also very lucky with this one, the starting price USD 25 52 with an estimated value of USD 170, I expected a load of people to bid, I was the only one, picked it up for starting price

Beautiful scuttle! I certainly wouldn't mind if my first scuttle was silver!!! Maybe I can talk Mike out of his???

Sometimes you can get a good deal on nice stuff at auction. I think everyone assumes it will be too expensive and they don't even bother bidding!
