    Default Handy travel "bowl"

I just took a quick vacation with my wife, and found a handy "bowl" for shaving: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's actually a camping cup made by Sea To Summit. It's a silicon rubber kind of material, and is made in a set of concentric rings that allow it to be squished into a flat disk for storage. Also, I quickly discovered you don't have to completely open it. I would usually push it about half-way open to make it a perfect depth for my brush. As a bonus, when you do this, you get some ridges in the bottom of the cup for working lather. They make a couple different sizes, also. But this one seemed about right for me. It won't replace a nice shaving bowl at home, but it is good for travel, and practically indestructible.

I like it. I may have to follow your lead.

Thanks for posting. I had wondered about collapsible silicone dog bowls for the same purpose at one time. Never got around to it as went back to face lathering. Now I know it would work.

Yes, that is pretty much the same thing, in a pet bowl, and should work great also. The one I got fits in the pocket of my dopp bag. It might be a little small for a full sized brush, but it is fine for a travel brush. But the bowl format would be good if it fits in your travel bag.

I guess for bowl lather it could work fine, but I face lather so not needed, but mostly at every hotel I stayed at when I did bowl lather I just had them send up a coffee mug, no need for packing something extra and no cost, I like the dog bowl thing Bob, 2 birds one stone. Tc

I've seen those before, but never really thought of them as possible shaving accessories. Most of my traveling is visiting my parents, so I can use Dad's shaving stuff.
