And some 'Uncouth Clods' keep a plastic knife left over from one of those picnic utensil packs in their shave den to use, or so I've heard rumor has it.

'Distinction'. Is the emphasis on the second syllable?

What you are here referring to my fine feathered friend is a Biker's snurdle. The one in the picture is the only one of a kind bought directly from the Harley Davidson museum....and may I add it is not for sale...it is part of my growing collection...now I have to head back to the bank to store it in the vault....and for crying out loud, don't PM me...it is not for sale.

Maybe this is more appropriate for the Workshop forum and maybe it's even been answered before, but I couldn't find it. Does anyone know where I can find blanks to make my own snurdle? I'd hate to think of having to grind one from scratch.

You won't be able to find them. They are extinct like the dinosaurs..the last of the great snurdle grinders in Spain Senor Sindufo Vinagreta Y unga de Vaca, ground the last one over a century ago.

But ...... rumor has it that his work and closely guarded secrets of the master snurdle grinding craft were secretly passed on to a strange and mysterious man of mysterious and unknown descent and background, a stranger with as strange and peculiar a name one Mr. Owa Tafoo Liam, only legends and rumors exist in sparse bits and peices of whatever happened to Mr. Liam and the secrets and work of Senor Vaca. To find an authentic post Vaca snurdle dipper would be a find and treasure of monumental proportions. But beware, treasure hunters, this is a very cut-throat business with some persons of very low and devious moral fiber. I once saw one of these sleazy knock-off snurdle dipper pushers actually try to pass off a bent butter knife blade attached to a spoon handle as a snurdle dipper. Goodness sakes, wish that I had gotten a picture to help you all see first hand the type of crafty con to watch out for.

I think we have a problem here: the unit dispensed is a snurdle; the tool used to dispense that unit is a snurdler.

    Cool

Commonly and historically accepted terms for the tool among others and depending where you are would be - snurdler, snurdle, snurdle dipper, snurdle ladle.

Now, answer me this... What exactly is the difference between a snurdle and a butter knife? Pardon me for being so thickheaded in the snurdle area.

When you can snatch the pebble from Glen's hand, then you will have learned and it will be time for you to leave.
