    Default Crack in shaving mug.

My wife found a nice clay fired shaving mug today at the good will for $1. The only problem is it has a crack going from the top to about half way down. It's visible both outside and in. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas to strengthening the area where the crack is. Any help is appreciated.

Have you considered trying to repair the crack with some epoxy resin? It may not look very aesthetic when you finish, but it may do the job long enough so that you can use the mug for a few months or years.
