Thanked: 983
When I travel, I take a tube of shave cream (there are a few to choose from out there), a cheap brush (Soon to be replaced with a better brush, since cheap is also nasty in this case), I make and use my own strops, so I have a 2"x 17" one that I roll up and carry in my kit and lastly I carry the cut-throat razor of choice.
That's it as far as shaving gear. I do carry other general toiletrys, including a bottle of aftershave/balm in the same bag. The bag itself is from a Hiking/Camping store and is small, light and compact but still holds more than I need.
One day I plan on getting around to making a leather dopp kit...But that's a while away yet.

Found a decent bag at walmart the other day that can fit all my travel needs in and still fit in a backpack. So now I just need to decide if I want a paddle or a strop that I can roll up.

I am using a "Samsonite" toiletries bag I gave my Father many years ago. It hangs in the shower and loads of room for Straight + DE's. I have a smaller one for weekend travels though.

I really like that col. Littleton bag, now if only I had that kind of scratch to spend. I am looking for bag like this for deployments, and all these links are very helpful

Thanked: 55Bought the Super Jumbo Dopp years ago in jet black leather. It's a little different than the current version in that instead of three bottles you got two bottles and a soap holder, otherwise it looks pretty much the same. I ditched the bottles and used those holders for a small glass shampoo bottle and my turnback brush and they fit perfectly. I kept the soap holder as it's very practical and works well for it's intended purpose. Been traveling for work for the last few months and I am pleased as could be.
Best Regards,
EL

I've been wanting this one: Classic Dopp Kit :: Reliable Softgoods from Duluth, Minnesota
Haven't seen that particular one in person but their other bags are very well made.
