Default Water in bottom of scuttle trick

After Lynn suggested placing a little bit of water into the bottom of your scuttle in order to help keep the brush warm I decided to try it out (makes sense heat transfer is faster through water after all). The problem I'm having is 1.even when I push the brush against the side of the scuttle it still makes the lather too moist and I need to re-load the brush (to a slight degree) part of this could be beacuse some of the cream/soap is pushed out as well. So what am I doing wrong? too much water or am I missing something with my technique.

Methinks you may be putting too much water in the bottom of your scuttle. Don't overdo it. It only take a teaspoonful or less of water to make a good lather.
