I have one of the TI "Beech and Black" boxes. It's definitely not worth the money. Sloppy workmanship, slots too narrow, rough surfaces on the insert (the only place where the razors actually touch something). The "black" part is a very cheap-looking piece of plastic. Avoid.
I understand the workmanship on the burl model is a totally different story, but I've never seen one in person.

Thanked: 10This might work
This one is a little pricey but it looks sweet. VSR sells the box that comes with the set in the link below.

Could be what your looking for or give you some ideas. I personally don't care for the handle but to each his own.

Does anyone make 7 day razor boxes
Not to hijack this thread...but has anyone ever REPAIRED an old one? A side busted, back missing, needs a refabric and releather...is that even doable? If this crowd says "no"...of all crowds...I will know it can't be saved

This was my weekend project. Cost about 15$ to make. Took me about 4 hours. 5$ box from Joann's, some dowels, felt, stain, a piece of glass salvaged from an old scanner and a couple neo magnets for to replace the cheap latch.

Very nice. How did you place the glass into the top?

I cut the glass so that I had about an 1/8" of play on all sides so it left me about 3/8" overlap. I put a pencil eraser sized dab of hot glue on all four corners and pressed the glass in place. I figured I'd need more but it seems to be holding very well. It's not exactly moisture proof but I was thinking about maybe grabbing some clear silicone to finish sealing it off. But I'm not sure I think that's really necessary. I'll just grab some silica packets from a shoe box or two.

Thanked: 6Very cool box! I've seen some display cases at Michael's that have an acrylic piece in the front - but they're about $50 for a large one. Myself being not so handy, this is still in the back of my mind for possible future exploitation.
