My shave den and neat brush holder
While moving into my house I found this thing. I think its for serving dressing maybe an olive dish? I dunno. Anyways its missing two of the glass bowls. Brushes seem to fit nice.

Not sure why those pics are sideways.
Here are some of the razors and soaps etc. The wall next to the strops I plan on doing some sort of shelves or display case. Just havent decided yet.
I like looking at other peoples collections and just thought id share.

Thanked: 3ubuntu question about pictures Answer
I use Ubuntu 10.04, so I think I can help you. You plug your camera into the usb port and an icon will pop up on you desktop.
When you click on it, it wants you to open it with F-stop photo manger, so your pic may be in there, that is located under Applications, then look in Graphics. You will find F-stop there. I do not like F-stop, so I don't let it open my pics from my camera. I look in the folder on the camera and copy the pics, then past them where I want them. Hope this helps you, Congrats on using Ubuntu Linux!!! Microsoft is getting blown away as more people switch to Linux!!!

It might not be a good idea to store a wet/damp brush in that position, the badger/boar should be hanging down to dry. JMHO

Im not worried about it. There is a total combined value of 6$ between those two brushed lol. They would be hanging if they were higher dollar brushes

Thanked: 3Pic problem
I would recommend you get Gimp, it is a cool photo editing tool. Do you know how to add software? If not I can walk you through it. Let me know.

Gimp will ask you if you want to auto rotate the orientation if the photo is sideways. Do your edit/crop/scale and remember to save the file. Open a command window (Terminal) Type 'sudo apt-get install gimp' to install it.
As to storage, keeping a brush on its base, bristles up is not an issue. Give them a shake to sling out the excess water and put them in the holder. They will dry just fine like that. In the old days, the adhesive used to glue the knot in could go soft but modern waterproof adhesives should not have any issue.

Thanked: 7Shouldn't the brushes be stored upside down to minimize any mildew growth?
