Barber box?
While browsing an antique store I ran accross this box with 5 razors in it. I was told it was a barber box. I had never seen one but it made sense. I did a search here and on the net and I can't find anything. What did I end up with? It is made of paper similar to a razor coffin and is marked,
Wedgwood and son
manufacturers
? cornhill
inside an oval with a crown on top.
thanks

I've never seen one like that. Usually the razor boxes though shaped like that were wood and had compartments for straights and maybe a pair of shears. Many were used as salesmen's sample cases.

It looks very similar to the wooden ones I have seen, maybe this was the low end model.

That gave me this vision. A scam artist contracting to some outfit maybe in Pakistan and using a cheap box marked Wedgwood and son [not sons] selling Wadc and Butchers along with Westenholm + Sun razors. "For today only 50% off our already low price. I have to make my quota or the boss will be mad."
Forgive me, my mind likes to wander.

Strange I came across one that looked quite a lot like it. It was holding a straight and some other grooming items. It looked odd being cardboard. Was told it was a travel kit. Who knows?
