Bathroom Set Up? - blank canvas
I thought this was the most appropriate section to post.
I am about to receive my first straight razor (DOVO Bismark) and have a few bits and pieces to make do with for the get go.
I have however instructed my wife (pleaded for permission) to take ownership of our second bathroom which will come to be my own personal shaving den!
Awesome!
I have a few ideas, however, if members could post photos of even describe there set up in the bathrooms that would be great.
I am looking at the lay out as to drilling into walls to mount my strop etc.. and there is now way in gods green earth are the tools going to live inside closed cupboards. They are all going to be displayed!
All this and a straight razor has not yet touched my virgin jaw!
Preparation is key and not going to drill one hole till I have it mapped in my head. A few black and white photos complete with transister radio to which to shave by comes to mind.
I look forward to seeing peoples individual set-ups.

It's in the Brushes section. But here is a couple years worth of Shave Dens that should give you a couple great ideas.

Baldie,
I agree with Kingsram! Check out the shave den!!! I drooled over every picture. I just redid my vanity and I installed two Robern Uplift cabinets. These are absolutely gorgeous. One is for me and my shaving equipment and my girl has the other. Sorry that i have no photos of my setup but I would definitely recommend Robern. If you are by yourself in the bathroom I would look at the 36 inch. Loads of storage. Yes your equipment is hidden but the wow factor when you lift the cabinet is worth it.

Here are a couple quick shots from my Iphone. The first shot is shown with my cabinet closed. I personally like the clean look. In the second shot, turned off the lights to show the lights inside the vanity that illuminate my product. The mirror slides straight up on rails and is perfectly weighted so that it will hold at any place. My strops are attached to a lower clothes rod in the closet you can see in the reflection. I store my razor inside my hutch in the closet. I have plenty of room to acquire another razor or two
