High School Make Shaving Bowls!
I am the tech person for Leyden High School and the other day I made a stop into the Ceramics Class room and I saw that they are making bowls. So I requested that they make some with the shave bowl style swirls inside and to my amazement this is what they came out with.
They charged a very small donation to support a food pantry for the work, and that actually made me even more happy to buy it. I am now having a scuttle made for me I cant wait to see how it comes out.

Thanked: 1262I like it. Improvements off the top of my head would be some type of handle and maybe a bit deeper? I don't bowl lather, so I may be way off there.

I like it.
The ridges inside makes lathering easier.
An open and wide design, makes it easier for those of us using bigger brushes.
Clean and simple, which is right up my alley!Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

That's really cool! I'll have to give that a shot, if I ever actually get a job at a school.
If you're going to have any more made, I would also suggest a bit deeper, and perhaps a lip on the upper inside to help prevent lather from being pushed out as it's created.

I am not sure what you all mean.
but as a public school we cant sell anything for a profit, but we can take donations for charities.
If people are interested in getting some made I would need to talk to the teacher and we would have find something to fund. "ex: Brest Cancer".
Also I don't think we couldn't post in on SRP we would have to post it on the official Leyden website.
I am having a scuttle made I will post it once its done and see if there is any major interest and if it would be worth while.
I might be 100% off right now with what you guys mean just, pointing that out...

Very nice work and good to see that your school still has crafts class available.
