Then again, I'm from a relatively small town (10k) and everybody at the post office knew my dad for some reason. Worth looking in to though.
They didn't have your dad's picture up, did they?

Tekbow--good luck with all your new stuff. If you haven't stropped before, practice with a butter knife to build up some muscle memory before you get that sharp blade near your very expensive new piece of leather. It's a weird motion. There are lots of videos on the site that can also help you.

    Happy shaving!

Ha, no they didn't. Unless there was some weird calender in the back room that my dad participated in... I think he actually went to high school with at least one person who worked there. In a town of 10,000 if you come in to the post office every day I suppose you get to know the people who work there.

Cheers man, I've been at this a bit now though, the reason i was ordering a new strop was that i think i'm finally past the strop nicking stage, haven't nicked in 2 months now. I do a reverse x pattern on strops because i find it easier to maintain contact.

oddly enough, now that i have the hones, i find a standard x much easier on them.
