    Hello, Moonshine:

I like your work. The close flap, the brown and black combination, everything ties in together for an attractive straight razor travel wallet. If I have one suggestion, it is to make the closing flap tail just a little longer to prevent it from slipping out of the loop. Well done, sir.

    Regards,

    Obie

Great looking case! I'm going to try and make my own today. May I ask how you did the black edging? Looks great. Just what I want for hunting/camping.

John, it's called edge dressing, and you can get it in black and brown (that I know of). Here's a shot of a bottle of it.

Here's how I was taught to do it: Ideally, the edge should be skived to take the sharp corners off of it, then you burnish the snot out of the edge with a piece of canvas loaded with saddle soap to help seal the edge. Then you use the edge dressing on it LIGHTLY. You can always add more, but you can't take it off once it's on there. At least that's how I learned it when I worked for a saddlemaker in college.

Moonshine, that's a fine looking razor case. Good design and execution.

    Dow,

Thanks for the info. I'll have to go to the local Tandy store and pick some up. Much appreciated!
