My custom 7 day razor case !
Well long story short I was able to do this because FacialDirt started a thread on his project and found the perfect insert material that is able to be used by the begginer.. like me !
So a BIG thank you for the Craftsman Foam... I went to Sears and picked it up and got a great box from a store that sells left over stuff... its almost like a semi-organized outlet. Tuesday Morning it's called.
$19.99 foam
$ 6.99 box - Its one of those boxes that looks like a book
Not a bad first try and I have a ton of the foam left over. This stuff is great. It's easy to work with, though a fresh razor blade cuts way better then the silly knife they give you.
Makes for a great 7 Day set !Last edited by Earthdawn; 08-20-2011 at 06:38 AM.

Earthdawn, that is a smart looking case. The razors are safely cushioned. One question: Does air have a chance to circulate on the bottom? Good work.

The foam is 1/2" thick and I did it in 2 layers. 1 solid piece for the bottom and then 2 strips. 1 strip on each side about 1" wide that I cut the channels into. So there is breathing room under the baldes but the bottom curve of the razors rest on the bottom layer of the foam but as the razors curve upwards it leaves room to circulate. The foam is super easy to work with while keeping it neat and not tearing. So you could form pockets or holes in the bottom foam to house those moisture absorbing packets if you wanted or make your own with cheese cloth and rice. Good idea now that I am thinking about it.
I am going to do the strips again as my first try was not as preciese as it could be. You can see in the pic it is far from perfect but like I said for a first try and by someone who is NOT mechanically inclined it came out really well IMO.
