nice work. I'm not a carpenter, although I follow One as best as a mere mortal can.
I'm a physician, and mostly do long-range/tactical shooting as a hobby.
I like working with my hands.
Seems you do too.
Have fun.

My buddy has a full wood working shop and from time to time he lets me play with his toys. LOL
What are you shooting? just curious as i was in the Canadian Army Reserves and have has some exposure to precision tactical rifles. Specifically the McMillan .50 cal.

Lately I'm shooting a Savage 110 BA in .338 Lapua Magnum, having some fun with load development/OCW determination, learning to handle a gun that size and at longer ranges than I'm used to, a friend runs a training center in Virginia and most times I shoot with him it's out to around 1,000 yds. He's got property set up for over 2,000 yds I hope to be shooting on soon. I do okay with 308 Win, shot 223 (I've got matched pairs of PSS rifles and LTRs in both calibers), also do some shooting on steel and bowling pins, am an NRA certified pistol instructor and manage to get a few new shooters oriented every year.
50 cal has its place but it's not as accurate as its smaller-caliber "cousins.". Lot of agencies are looking at fielding 300 win mag vs 338 Lapua as a better ballistic choice but I'm sold on the numbers Litz' data is showing me for the 338, and I like big bore guns. Have a couple of safari guns (375 H&H, 458 win mag), I reload for all the calibers I shoot.
Keeps me off the streets at night, gives me something to do while I'm looking forward to my next shave.
