Henckels 7 day leather case
Here is a case I found while out at the kind of place one would find an old blade to restore. I purchased a Spike (Union Cutlery) and a Wade Butcher from that shop (more on those in a different post on another day) but this case also caught my eye. Even before opening I knew it could not be full of razors due to the price; about as much as an inexpensive razor in need of a resto. However, it gave me an idea: to spend the next few years collecting 7 Henckels razors (at very modest prices), restoring them and then I will have a unique and very cool (to me at least!) 7 day Henckels set. The goal is not to have 7 of the same type of razors, but completely unique Henckels razors.
I've seen other, very nice, 7 days sets; but never a case like this. Anyone here come across a case like this or know anything about them?

Wow! That is different, I like your idea of a seven day set.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Thanked: 14That's a fantastic and RAD-supported idea! The case itself looks to be in beautiful shape--please post your progress as you fill it up!

Crazy impulsive buying with a goal!
Doh! Purchased the first Henckels for more than I wanted to spend (just going to have to hunt harder on future ones!). I've seen these go for much more than I paid, but I know they are just waiting to be picked up for next to nothing--if only I could find them. Hoping this cures my recently diagnosed R.A.D. for a while... The scales will be replaced and the blade cleaned up, but here is #1, a 401 Platinum (sellers pics):

That's a very cool find. I know nothing about this case, but it's exactly the kind of thing I would want to buy if I traveled more.
Compact, nicely made, very rare thing I imagine.
Even cooler would be printing auf Deutsch.
