SRD scuttle or classic edge shaving scuttle w/ soap dish
Does anyone have either. I like the classic edge shaving scuttle because it has a hole for the brush http://www.classicedge.ca/index.php?route=product/product&path=64&product_id=708 I saw another post about the SRD scuttle and read some good things about that one and I
Really like the colors of the SRD one. Does anyone know how well does the
classic edge shaving Scuttle will hold heat? I've never used a scuttle before but all I
Want is for it keep my lather warm. I have a soap dish to load the brush so I'm just
Looking for something to keep the lather hot for a while also in the pictures of the SRD scuttle the bowl used to make lather looks a little small, thus making it hard to make lather. But it could just be the picture, thoughts?

Thanked: 4942The SRD Scuttles are not made to make lather in. It was designed purely to keep your suds warm throughout multiple passes when shaving. My personal belief is that the larger bowl scuttles that accommodate making lather lose heat quicker. The top bowl is 3 1/2 inches in diameter by about 2 inches deep. This scuttle will easily keep the lather or soap on your brush warm for 3 passes. I like to keep just a little water in the bottom of the top bowl also as it acts as a heat conductor to the hot water in the lower bowl.
Have fun.

Thanked: 220The SRD scuttle is more than adequate in size, I have one and I really like it. I don't even use my mug anymore, I now lather with a soap puck & use the SRD scuttle.
