Default The death of an old friend, can't find a replacement any ideas?

Its a tragic day for me, i had a beautiful stained wood box, that held 7 razors beautifully. The inside had i am guessing a velvet type material. Well any way the box tell off of my self, with all my functioning razors in it. The box fortunately did its job by protecting all the razors, some being over a hundred years old, but the box is in 4 piece now. I am relieved that i don't need to go into the market for new razors, but i can't find a similar box any where. I have search on eBay for hours, i have asked friends of mine but nothing. Does anyone know a company or a site that i could find a box that hold 7 or more razors. I have looked on the classifieds and i found nothing of interest.

BTW are the parts to the box busted or can they be re assembled?

Just curious, may I ask how the box split? Was force applied to it or did it just fall apart with age?

Look in 'Accessories', and on page 2 is a Thiers Issard seven razor display box.

There is an outfit called Burlwoodbox. As I recall they are located in Northern Michigan and they do boxes and will custom do one for you if the standard ones don't fit the bill.

Grab a wooden cigar box! I'm currently working on a wooden cigar box to hold 8 straights, 2 DE's, and DE blades. I'll be posting pictures in the next few days. I got the idea from somewhere on here. You could even sand off the painted on logos if you so desire. I bought thin pieces of basswood from Hobby Lobby to make dividers and stuff. Be on the lookout for my completed project, then you can put your own spin on what myself and others have done in regards to cigar boxes. Hope this helps!

Rockler also has a pre-made pen display box if your looking for a quicker fix. I believe it will hold 7 pens/razors (provided none of yours are bigger blades).

I agree, the Thiers Issard boxes are beautiful, but I'm a broke student and they are a tad on the pricey side for me.

X2 on the cigar box I did the same thing. Although I use it for traveling between my house and my girlfriends. Holds my strop, razor, soap, mug, brush, tuf-cloth, and a shaving rag to wipe the blade. Would easily hold 7+ razors. U could make some kinda spacer insert or something for it

You could try the Alembicase - a member here produces them.
