Thanked: 1Quick Razor Storage Project
Im fairly new here but just wanted to post my quick Saturday project that whipped up for temp storage of my razors instead of my dresser. I eventually want to do something alot nicer.
Started out as a display case from Hobby Lobby. Made the dividers with the foam project board that you can get at Office Depot and such. I just cut them into strips that would allow them to be wedged into place and not move once glued. Next was the hard part and that was the upholstery. If anything thats the part im not super happy with but hey its my first time. Also few shots of my 3 razors including my recently returned restore from Maggard as well as a restore done by Mainaman on here. Wanting to get the Master Crown and Sword polished up and honed but that is on the back burner right now.
Onto Pics....
Here you can see the project board strips wedged into place.
Nice see through lid. Looks really good closed. Haha.
Here you can see where I had issues with the Upholstery of it .
And some razor shots...
Thanks for looking!!

Hey now that is very nice! Don't knock it for being your first time, there's something to be said for that little extra value something you made with your own 2 hands and bring to the shaving table.

Thanked: 3215Jon, nice project, I have been thinking of a similar project to partition off some antique wooden cigar boxes and a wooden Gerstner Tool Chest. I hadn’t thought of using foam core, genius.
I plan to make trays that will insert into the drawers or box that will make the liner installation much easier. I will try making the trays from foam core.
What glue did you use, I’m thinking hot glue.
Thanks for the post.
