The Premium I strop needs no recommendation - to me this is the best strop one can buy from SRD. I've used it a handful of times but I simply do not like the 3" width, even though people swear by it. Instead I use a classic 2.5" barber strop and a 2" cordovan. This strop simply does not deserve to just hang unused. There are no cuts or anything, just a couple of spots from water splashes since when I used it it hung by the sink - those will be gone when it gets used.

There is also a very special item that comes with it - an unobtanium soap. It was a special limited edition made for this forum years ago when most of the currently active members had not yet found their way to here. What makes it special is that it uses essential oils - vetiver which is great but still doable today, and sandalwood which is exceptional and highly exclusive. Sandalwood EO is not only super expensive, but from what I understand many of the woods are now protected.
The dominant note is vetiver, but the sandalwood is also there in a more understated way. Otherwise it's a really well made glycerin soap, I don't know if the QED company still exists but back in the days they set the standard for this type of soaps. Years later it's a little drier than when it was made, but this doesn't affect the performance. This one is one of my extras, hence one more person gets a chance to try it out.

    $120 including shipping in US.

QED is still going strong, but the soaps, much to my dismay, have been discontinued due to the original maker retiring. QED has a new range of soaps, but they are not the same formula, according to Charles. I have not tried the new soaps, but I have tried to find several scents in the old formula, with zero luck.
