Camp knife / hunting knife
Up for sale is a W2 camp knife / hunting knife. It was forged from W2 steel and water quenched.
It was forged to its final size and then only had the bevel and tip ground.
The bevel was ground to 220 grit. It is perfectly functional as is, but if you want fully polished, you can easily do this yourself because the bevels are flat ground.
I made it for forging practice so I'm not setting a high price. It's a 7 day auction style, starting at 95 USD (friends and family) with a buy-it-now of 145.

Come on now, don't all yell out bids at the same time

The edge is 8" long.
Given the absence of bids I'd happily shorten it to your desired size if that made it attractive to you

I definitely appreciate your intention and method. I have been thinking a lot lately about how cutlery, razors in particular were made before grinding was as advanced as say even the treadle grinder. I have thought about if it is even possible to forge a blade all the way to the point before bevel set with no grinding.
