Thanked: 0Eskilstuna nr 24
Hi y'all,
And greetings - my first post here... finally. I've been shaving with a DE razor for about three years now, and I've been looking into getting a nice straight razor for the last year and a half. Can't find a lot of straights here in Finland these days (pun intended), but I just saw a vintage straight razor marked C.V. Heljestrand, Eskilstuna, going for about €30.
It seems the average quality of the Swedish steel and the workmanship with these should be OK, but what do you fellow vikings think, would this be good piece for restoration? ... Or, would I be better off with a ready-to-shave vintage Solingen razor in the €50-€60 range?
If that looks fine to you, any volunteers in the Nordics for honing the blade?
