    Jimmy,

Your 105mm macro is a fine lens, a VERY fine lens.
Visit your local high end shops and
hunt a used Nikon digital back that
    supports it.

In this area folks are trading in or selling
their three year old back to get the
    latest camera that supports HD
and movies. The only thing to double
check is that the motor is in the
right place. Easy to check by bringing your
lens with you and do some homework.

    Lots of info at KenRockwell.com

    Nikon 105mm AF Micro

BTW: your 105 macro is on my wish list.

I have had a Nikon N8008S body for several years and have had alot of fun with it shooting black and white film. When digital came out, I purchased the Nikon D70s. All of the Nikon and Nikon compatible autofocus lenses I had acquired work very well with the new body. Considering the cost of film and trying to find someone able to properly develop the film, the cost of the new body was justified; at least in my mind. I do not have any of the higher end photo software programs. but with black and white photos, I have not been able to match the results of quality black and white slide film and a 35mm SLR camera with digital results.

With the digital camera, I find myself experimenting more due to the fact of not having to pay for film and development. With a roll of film, I felt lucky to end up with several great photos out of one roll. With digital, I can take hundreds of photos and experiment with out factoring in costs.

This is actually a really good idea, you can get a D50 for 250 or so bucks. Plop that micro lens on there and get some killer close up pictures.
