    Default New Lightbox $2

I made this lightbox last night. The one I have been using for photographing razors for the last year was a similar setup but using a cardboard box, and it was nearing the end of its days.
This was made using acrylic from an old illuminated sign (until recently I worked in a sign shop) all I had to do was peel off the old vinyl lettering. The base and back wall was a crappy old MDF benchtop. The only thing I had to pay for was the $2 piece of cardboard to go inside.
I dont have any high powered lights so I usually just take it outdoors and use natural light. The acrylic panels diffuse the sunlight so you dont get shadows. Works pretty well.
    Here's a few pics...

Nice job! The lighting on the razor photo looks fantastic!
I need to get around to making one too.... someday.

Nice......I'm going to have to see if I can put something like that together. I dont know a thing about photography, but it's easy to see that one of those would be handy to have around.

Congrats on putting together such a nice box for $2. Cant beat that.

An enjoyable day to you sir,
    Matthew

Very nicely done and at a great price! I'm still using a cardboard box wrapped in tissue paper.

Very nice, mind if I copy your design?

Nice job. I had not thought of using the light box outside, but after seeing your results I will give this a try. The natural light is great for keeping the colors true.
