Just a quick breakfast this morning. Rye bread with necessary add-ons: butter, smoked ham, Ålandisk cheese, tomatos. Blueberry soup, sea buckthorn juice, Chamraj tea, newspaper.

I really wish we could get good Rye bread here like what you have. You really have to hunt for good stuff like that here in the States, it's not common place. We have a saying here in the US.....:"Better living through Chemicals"

We have friends who are German. Whenever they visit us, from Germany, they bring one suitcase full of bread. I think they feel sorry for us that we have to eat lousy bread. The Germans really know how to make bread

Or they just don't want to eat the lousy bread themselves
Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

What is Blueberry soup? I was thinking juice but I see you had sea buckthorn juice.

    Just wondering, it looks good!

Blueberry soup is just.....eh, blueberry soup. Berry soaps are very common here as a part of the breakfast or as dessert. Thick stuff, you need spoon to eat it. Not so thick as jam.
Usually no added sugar or anything so they are not so sweet. Actually soup/juice/jam made of buckthorn, lingonberry, gooseberry and such are pretty sour.

People seem to have very mixed feelings with sea buckthorns: it grows only in narrow coastline so most folks do not even know it. It's sort of love/hate. I can't help but like it as we have it more than enough in our garden.
